FIRETOOL END-USER LICENCE AGREEMENT
Version 4, 30 September 2026

This agreement is between you (the person or organisation installing or using Firetool) and G Balakrishna
("we", "us"), the owner of Firetool. By installing, activating or using Firetool you agree to it.
If you don't agree, don't install or use Firetool.

1. THE SOFTWARE
"Firetool" means the desktop app (called Firestore Studio before version 2.18), its updates, and its documentation. It is licensed to you, not sold.
We keep all ownership, copyright and other rights in it.

2. WHAT YOU MAY DO
2.1 Free edition. You may install and use the Free edition, for personal or business use, under the rest of this
    agreement.
2.2 Pro edition. A Pro licence lets one named person, the one whose email address the licence was issued to, use the
    Pro features on one device (one computer and one operating-system account) at a time, for the licence's term.
2.3 You may make one copy of the installer for backup.

3. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
Except where the law allows it despite this restriction, you may not:
  a) copy, modify, adapt or translate Firetool, or create derivative works from it;
  b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or unpack it, or try to obtain its source code;
  c) remove, disable or get around its licence checks, activation or Free-edition limits, or help anyone else to;
  d) share, publish, sell, rent, lend or transfer a licence key, or let anyone other than the licence's owner use it;
  e) distribute, sublicense or host Firetool for others, or offer it as a service;
  f) remove or change copyright, trademark or other notices;
  g) use it in breach of any law, or of the terms of the Google Cloud and Firebase projects you connect it to.

4. PRO LICENCES
4.1 A licence key is personal and confidential. It is sent only to the licence's email address, and activating it
    needs that address and the key. A licence can move to a different device at most three times a year; we may
    reset it for a lost or replaced computer on request.
4.1a Trial. Each device and each email address gets one 30-day trial of the Pro features, started with an
    email address confirmed by a code we send to it. Reinstalling doesn't start a new trial. After it ends, the Free
    edition applies until you activate a licence.
4.2 Firetool checks the licence with our website when it opens. It works offline for up to 7 days after the
    last check, and never after the licence expires.
4.3 Fees, the licence term and renewals are as agreed when you buy. Refunds are as stated at the time of purchase, and
    as required by law.
4.4 We may cancel a licence if it's used against this agreement, for example shared or used on more than one device.

5. YOUR DATA
Your Firestore and Firebase data, keys and sign-ins stay on your computer and go directly to Google's services. The
details Firetool sends to our website (for updates and licences) are described in the privacy notice at
https://firetool.web.app/#privacy.

6. UPDATES
We may provide updates. Firetool can check for and install them; your IT team or the app's settings can turn
this off. This agreement covers updates unless they come with a different one.

7. TERM AND ENDING
This agreement lasts until it ends. It ends automatically if you break it. A Pro licence ends when its term expires or
if we cancel it under section 4.4. When the agreement ends you must stop using Firetool (or, when only a Pro
licence ends, its Pro features) and delete your copies. Sections 3, 8, 9, 10 and 11 continue after it ends.

8. NO WARRANTY
Firetool is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied,
including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law
allows. You are responsible for your data, backups and the changes you make with Firetool; its audit log,
roles and production safeguards reduce mistakes but don't guarantee against them.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss,
or for loss of data, profit, revenue or business, however caused. Our total liability for anything to do with
Firetool is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.

10. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE AND TRADEMARKS
Firetool includes third-party software under its own licences, listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt; those
licences apply to those parts only. Firestore, Firebase and Google Cloud are trademarks of Google LLC. Firetool
is an independent product and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

11. GENERAL
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If any part of it can't be
enforced, the rest still applies. It is the whole agreement about Firetool between you and us, unless we
agree otherwise in writing. We may publish a new version for future releases; the version that came with your copy
applies to it.
