Yes. Firetool is a desktop app for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit and 32-bit), macOS 11 or newer (Apple Silicon and Intel) and 64-bit Linux (.deb and .tar.gz). It shows your collections in a sidebar and your documents as a table, a tree or JSON, and lets you filter, sort, edit and export them.

Yes. The Free edition lets you browse, filter and query your data for as long as you like. You can also try every Pro feature free for 30 days: when Firetool first opens, enter your email and the code we send you. For editing, importing, exporting, JS Query and the other Pro features after that, request a Pro licence.

Use Request a licence on the Contact page, or in Firetool choose Help, Licence. We'll reply with the price and how to pay, and your licence key is emailed to you. Enter your email and the key in Help, Licence. One licence is for one person on one computer.

Open the collection or query in Firetool and choose Export, then CSV. The file opens cleanly in Excel, with nested fields as their own columns. JSON export is also available, and exports can be scheduled.

Yes. Tools, Data transfer copies the collections you choose, with their subcollections, to another project or database. You can keep documents that already exist and add only new ones, give custom target paths, or limit how many documents each collection copies. You can also right-click a collection to copy, move, duplicate or rename it.

Yes. Edit fields directly in the table or as JSON, add and delete documents, and import CSV or JSON. Saving sends only the fields you changed and keeps every type exactly (whole-number doubles, large integers, microsecond timestamps), and if someone else saved the document since you opened it, you're asked before anything is overwritten.

Yes. Right-click a collection and choose Back up collection, or right-click the database to back up every collection. The backup keeps every document and its subcollections exactly as stored. Restore a backup puts them back at the same paths, in the same or another project or database, and it can resume if it stops.

Yes. JS Query mode runs scripts in the Firebase Admin SDK style, with where, orderBy, batches, transactions, aggregations, vector search and query explain, and shows the result as a table or JSON.

Yes. Open as many projects and databases as your Google account or service account keys can reach, side by side. Mark a project or a single database as production so deletes and bulk changes need the project ID typed, or as read-only so nothing there can be changed.

Yes. Use File, Connect to emulator, and enter the Firestore emulator address (for example 127.0.0.1:8080), the Authentication emulator address if you use it, and your project IDs.

Yes. Find users by email, phone number or UID, create, disable and delete them, edit custom claims, make password reset and verification links and sign users out everywhere.

No. Firetool talks directly to Google's APIs from your computer. Your keys stay on your computer; the app only contacts firetool.in to check for updates and its trial or licence.

Yes. Firestore Studio was renamed Firetool in version 2.18, with a new icon. Your copy updates itself as usual, and your settings, keys, schedules, audit log and licence carry on.
